Withstands continuous hea up to 232-240c and intermittent up to 260c. A flexible silicone formula that forms watertight,flexible seals that replace cork,rubber,paper, and felt gaskets. Resistant to fluids and gases, compatible with oils,transmission fluids,water,antifreeze,grease and hot gases. Does not harm oxygen sensors or catalytic convertors. Typical uses, engine and transmission covers,oil pan and crankcase sealing, water pump and thermostat housings, and general workshop sealing tasks.
