If you have ever spilt AdBlue® on your drive or garage floor or even on your clothes you will have noticed that it quickly crystallises.
When your engine is not performing well or if you have issues in the exhaust gases area, maybe DPF issues, this can also cause the AdBlue® to crystallise within the SCR system (Selective Catalytic Reduction)
AdBlue® is used in your vehicle to reduce harmful gases being released into the atmosphere.
Crystallisation is formed when the exhaust gas temperature drops below 300 degrees. At this temperature the Urea in the AdBlue® cannot react correctly and turns into crystals blocking the SCR system. If this happens you may have to dismantle the whole system to physically clean the system.

AdBlue® has a shelf life of 12 months after which it can start to crystallise in the container.
A 125ml bottle added ONLY to the AdBlue® tank can treat 10-20 litres.
